Job summary

DMG is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join the Accounting team in Cincinnati, OH. You will help ensure internal controls and accurate financial reporting, supporting the month-end close and various accounting tasks across departments.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, policy development, audit prep, tax reporting, and 1099 management, with collaboration across Field Sales, Marketing, HR, IT and National Accounts to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of GAAP with ability to apply it to daily accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform macro- and micro-level financial statement analysis and adjustments.
• Assist in audit preparations and policy development.
• Ensure compliance with federal and internal controls requirements.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local sales tax reporting.
• Manage the 1099 process and related compliance.
• Review and process credit card prepayments monthly.
• Investigate unreconciled data and ensure data accuracy in reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, HR, IT on cross-functional projects.
• Assist in internal reporting and ad-hoc analyses.
