Job summary

Primary Recruiting Services is seeking a Senior Accountant in the Cincinnati area to support closing processes and financial statement preparation. This role will also oversee fixed asset accounting for assigned properties and contribute to internal control improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience in public or GL accounting, with strong GAAP knowledge and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• They are looking for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience in public accounting OR GL accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all closing processes and financial statement preparation
• Manage the fixed asset accounting function for your assigned properties
• Make recommendations and creates plans to improve internal controls when necessary
• Performing P&L analysis and ad hoc reporting when necessary
• Daily and weekly balance sheet reconciliations and checking for accuracy and thoroughness
• Applies standard GAAP methods; makes recommendations to improve practices or procedures
• Creating journal entries and doing bank reconciliations
