Senior Accountant: Month-End & Financial Reporting Lead

Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the integrity of financial records, perform reconciliations, and prepare journal entries as part of month-end and year-end close processes.

The role collaborates with internal teams and external auditors, analyzes financial results, and provides guidance to junior accounting staff as needed. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required; CPA is a plus; 5+ years of Finance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; CPA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, post journal entries and analyse trends and variances.
• Perform calculations and ensure reserves and accruals are properly stated.
• Provide supporting schedules, documentation and information requested for tax preparation.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger and depreciation schedules for book and tax.
• Support Assistant Controller with monthly financial reporting.
• Collaborate with outside auditors and provide supporting schedules, documentation and information requested.
• Prepare written analyses and reports and participate in meetings with management to discuss results, answer questions, and address accounting-related matters.
• Collect and analyse data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
• Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, surplus income, and expenditures.
• Provide inputs and uploads into weekly cash flow forecasting model and communicate week over week changes.
• Backup for other positions in Finance, such as accounts payable, cost accounting, and payroll, as required.
• Document processes, organize date and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
