Vaco seeks a Senior Accountant in California to support monthly close, prepare financial statements, maintain accounting records, and ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has technical accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with experience in close processes and financial reporting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.
• Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or pursuing licensure preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Compile and analyze financial information for monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Review the recording and analysis of revenue and expenses.
• Perform financial fluctuation and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate cash records and oversee timely cash deposits.
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for financial audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors and other business partners.
• Help ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with internal controls.
• Research technical accounting matters as needed.
• Support special projects and ad hoc accounting requests.
