Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen its accounting team in California. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting close processes.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive compliant reporting and strategic initiatives. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate account discrepancies.
• Maintain and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with cross-functional departments to support business operations and reporting.
