Job summary

V2X in Reston, VA is seeking a detailed Accountant to support the month-end close, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure accurate allocations. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain strong cash flows and comply with US GAAP.

The role emphasizes process improvement, internal controls, and supporting audits. A Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least four years of related experience are required; CPA is a plus, and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum four years' related experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• CPA designation preferred.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to a tight general ledger month-end close process.
• Records monthly journal entries accurately.
• Prepare and generate month end allocations and/or advices.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger balances monthly.
• Focus on process improvements over the general close and intra-company process.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts to meet deadlines.
• Assist with internal control evaluations and documenting procedures.
• Support compliance and auditors with data and reports.
• Assist Cost and General Ledger Manager on projects.
