Job summary

Chobani, a leading food company, seeks a Senior Accountant to apply GAAP to analyze financial information and prepare timely financial reports and trial balances. You will ensure robust accounting controls and assist in consolidations, audits, and process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 5–7 years in public accounting or 7–10 years in private accounting, and knowledge of ERP systems (SAP). CPA preferred. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• CPA highly preferred.
• 5–7 years of public accounting or 7–10 years of private accounting experience in accounting, audit, review, and write-up duties.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong analytical and write-up abilities; ability to work with GAAP and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
• Prepare and review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for month-end close and GAAP compliance.
• Analyze financial reports and make recommendations based on reserves, assets and expenditures.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
• Prepare reconciliations and analyses of accounts.
• Assist with monthly management reporting packages.
• Contribute to monthly review meetings.
• Ensure GAAP compliance across general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations and revenue recognition.
• Assist with external audits.
• Assist in implementing new systems and automate manual processes.
• Support senior financial leadership with special projects and process improvements.
