Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant/Controller to join our finance team at our Clarence, NY location. The role focuses on GAAP compliance, AP/AR management, sales tax, and financial reporting. CPA is required, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.

The person will lead month-end close and contribute to internal controls and process improvements. Excellent Excel skills and strong communication are essential as you will present findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• CPA preferred with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a tech or professional services setting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience managing AP/AR, purchases, and sales tax.
• Proficient in month-end and year-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all AP/AR activities with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and updated regulations.
• Oversee purchase orders and invoice processing for accuracy.
• Handle sales tax matters and compliance obligations.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data.
