Citrus County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain financial accuracy and integrity across funds, including reconciliations, audits, and financial analysis.

The role requires advanced accounting knowledge, sharp analytical skills, and cross-department collaboration to support strategic decisions and audit readiness; responsibilities span month-end close, journal entries, and audit coordination.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or higher with extensive accounting experience.
• Advanced understanding of accounting principles; fund accounting preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required for data analysis and reporting.

Mansioni

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations with internal controls.
• Reconcile self-insurance fund and bank accounts; coordinate reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including year-end adjustments.
• Lead annual audit preparation and coordinate with auditors.
• Maintain documentation for transparency, audit readiness, and compliance.
• Support system/process improvements and provide coverage during peak periods.
