Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting.
• Experience with fund accounting and internal controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations against internal controls and audit standards.
• Reconcile self-insurance fund, coordinate with providers, and report as required.
• Reconcile bank accounts to ensure data integrity.
• Analyze special revenue and restricted fund activity for proper classification and compliance.
• Prepare and process journal entries, including accruals and year-end adjustments.
• Maintain documentation and serve as auditor liaison during annual on-site audit.
• Lead annual audit preparation and coordinate on-site requests with subject matter experts.
• Participate in process improvement to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Provide coverage for team during peak workload or staff absences.
• Assist leadership with new systems and processes implementations.
• Complete special projects supporting agency-wide needs.
• All CCSO employees are essential and may deploy during activations.
