Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join the Accounting department. The role covers daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks, including G/L maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

It also manages the extensive fixed assets process with timely asset additions, depreciation, and disposals. Responsibilities include reconciliations, journal entries, and ensuring accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge for accounting and reporting
• Experience with month-end close and fixed assets
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1–3 years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOPs and policies
• Support month-end close process
• Assist asset capitalization and depreciation tracking
• Prepare journal entries and GL reconciliations
• Analyze asset accounts for discrepancies
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties
