A leading accounting firm is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to maintain accurate records of fixed assets. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance, supporting audits, and conducting physical inventory audits. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 1-3 years of relevant experience, and strong Excel skills. This role is key in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on fixed assets.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP (or IFRS if applicable) and internal control practices.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed asset subledger in accordance with company policy.
• Record asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals with appropriate documentation.
• Calculate and record depreciation expenses and reconcile to their general ledger.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory audits of fixed assets.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
