Job summary

Green Key Resources partners with a rapidly growing fintech startup at the intersection of banking, payments, digital assets and capital markets. The Senior Accountant will help build the accounting and finance infrastructure from the ground up, with equity participation and discretionary bonus, and high-visibility exposure to executive leadership.

In this hybrid role (4 days in office), you will lead month-end close, prepare journal entries and financial statements, support regulatory reporting

Qualifications

• CPA preferred
• Big 4 background preferred
• Strong accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls experience
• Exposure to financial services, fintech, banking, or other regulated industries is a plus
• Comfortable building processes and controls in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and excited to leverage AI and automation to improve accounting operations and reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead core accounting operations and month-end close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Assist with regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including Call Reports
• Support accounting system implementations and process improvements
• Build scalable policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance accounting workflows and strengthen controls
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A initiatives
• Support reporting requirements within regulated financial services environments
• Work cross-functionally with operations, compliance, technology, and leadership teams
