Talentedge seeks a Senior Accountant in New York to join a fintech team focused on digital assets, cryptocurrency trading and market infrastructure. The role is hands-on with exposure to crypto accounting, SEC reporting and financial operations, reporting to senior accounting leadership.

You will collaborate with FP&A, own month-end close, and drive automation and policy improvements while keeping pace with evolving standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience across public accounting and industry.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Big 4 experience is a significant plus.
• Background in fintech, particularly digital assets, cryptocurrency or payments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally including IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems, automation and complex reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and review month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Reconcile cryptocurrency wallets, exchanges and blockchain transactions.
• Support SEC reporting, financial statement preparation and external audits.
• Work closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Lead automation initiatives across balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and improve reporting efficiency.
• Monitor evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

I'm working on a Senior Accountant opportunity with a well-established, high-growth fintech specialising in digital assets, cryptocurrency trading and market infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on role within a growing accounting team, offering exposure to complex cryptocurrency accounting, SEC reporting and financial operations. You'll work closely with FP&A and senior accounting leadership, with plenty of scope to take ownership and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities
