Job summary

Caribou is seeking a high-integrity Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing team. You will own day-to-day GL activity and help build scalable accounting systems to support our next growth phase.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, you will oversee high-volume refinance loan transactions, manage PPE entries and reconciliations, and drive month-end close with precise journal entries. Collaboration with cross-functional partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA is strongly preferred.
• 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or fintech.
• Experience with NetSuite and US GAAP required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-volume daily refinance loan transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Own PPE analysis, capitalization entries, and schedule reconciliations.
• Lead onboarding for new lenders and ensure systems meet requirements.
• Drive month-end close with complex journal entries and accruals.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and revenue reconciliations.
• Support monthly reporting, variance analysis, and budget reviews.
• Audit close procedures and automate tasks to speed reporting.
• Collaborate to document GAAP-compliant processes and internal controls.
• Lead cross-department efficiency projects and support ad hoc analyses.
