Job summary

Caturus is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to support the consolidated financial statements for the top-level company. This on-site role in Houston will coordinate with external auditors and collaborate with the Accounting organization, reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 4+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, and preferably CPA licensure or active pursuit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Big 4 public accounting experience or public company experience preferred.
• U.S. GAAP knowledge and SEC reporting experience preferred.
• Experience with consolidations and intercompany transactions/eliminations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of periodic external financial statements and footnotes for the Company and its consolidated subsidiaries.
• Prepare consolidated financial reporting deliverables for the Company and its consolidated subsidiaries.
• Prepare accurate and complete workpapers to support financial statement disclosures; tie-out of financial statements and footnotes.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assist in implementations.
• Support the primary financial statement audit liaison with external auditors; prepare and organize items required for financial statement audits (PBCs).
• Assist with the implementation of process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and control effectiveness.
• Ensure deadlines are met, including issuance of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with reporting requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc reports as required by management and other stakeholders.
• Perform financial analysis, as needed, and assist with special accounting projects assigned by management.
