Job summary

Caturus, based in Houston, seeks an experienced Manager, Financial Reporting to oversee the consolidated U.S. GAAP financial statements and liaise with external auditors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with large public accounting firm auditing publicly traded companies and/or corporate/industry experience working for a publicly traded company
• 4+ years of management or supervisory experience
• Experience in the oil and gas industry strongly preferred
• Extensive experience preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
• Experience with financial consolidations and intercompany eliminations, disclosures, and reporting for non-GAAP metrics
• Experience supporting external audits, SOX compliance, and internal controls over financial reporting
• Demonstrated success leading reporting process improvements and cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, review and issue quarterly and annual external financial statements and footnotes for the Company and its subsidiaries
• Prepare quarterly financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP disclosure requirements
• Transform external GAAP financial statements to be SEC compliant, including MD&A for consolidated entity
• Prepare and/or review quarterly workpapers for financial statements and disclosures
• Coordinate with corporate and BU contacts for input and disclosure support
• Lead, mentor, and develop financial reporting staff
• Assist with research and memos for complex accounting matters
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and update policies in line with U.S. GAAP
• Develop formal internal controls over financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors for audits and reviews
• Identify and implement reporting process improvements
• Meet deadlines for quarterly and annual statements
