Job summary

Caturus, a Houston-based energy-focused private company, seeks an experienced Manager, Financial Reporting to oversee the consolidated U.S. GAAP financial statements and footnotes.

You will collaborate across operations, legal, tax, and treasury, coordinating with external auditors and driving improvements in reporting controls and processes. You will report to the Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, with on-site duties at the Houston corporate office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA required.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with large public accounting firm auditing publicly traded companies and/or corporate/industry experience with a publicly traded company.
• 4+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Experience in oil and gas industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, review and issue quarterly and annual external financial statements and footnotes for the Company and its subsidiaries.
• Prepare quarterly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, equity, cash flow) per US GAAP.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide MD&A for consolidated disclosures.
• Develop internal controls over financial reporting to support SOX compliance.
• Lead, mentor and develop financial reporting staff.
• Monitor and ensure consistency of financial data across subsidiaries.
• Support external audits and regulatory filings.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and data quality.
