Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or CPA candidate highly preferred. An advanced degree is desired.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of recent general accounting experience, including financial reporting and statement prep.
• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC rules, SOX 404, and FERC accounting rules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Generate journal entries, including payroll-related entries, with documentation to support month-end close.
• Coordinate with Payroll and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and identify risks.
• Finalize reconciliations with evidence and address any irregularities promptly.
• Oversee cash accounting activities and manage deadlines across multiple tasks.
• Prepare management analyses on accruals, balance sheet, and cash flow.
