Peterson Company in Washington (Auburn) seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions, ensure GAAP compliance, and deliver financial reporting and analysis. This on-site role reports to the Corporate Controller and emphasizes accurate data, strong technical skills, and cross-functional collaboration.

Bring 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and advanced Excel capabilities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; enterprise accounting platforms preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to a variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and build effective business partnerships.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Financial Reporting & General Ledger—Partner with Corporate Controller to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and manage month-end/year-end close; reconcile GL accounts and prepare supporting schedules.
• Budgeting and Financial Analysis—Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts; prepare department cost analyses and variance commentary.
• Compliance and Internal Control—Maintain accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance; coordinate external audits and improve processes.
• Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration—Mentor accounting staff, collaborate with business leaders, and support financial modeling and reporting.
