Job summary

Addison Group seeks a Senior SEC/Financial Reporting Analyst to join its Corporate Accounting team in the Greater Seattle area. You will support external financial reporting, SEC filings, and GAAP compliance, collaborating with multiple business units to ensure accurate, timely filings.

The ideal candidate has CPA progress, 3+ years in public accounting or financial reporting, and advanced Excel with Power BI or Tableau to drive reporting efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification or active progress toward CPA license.
• 3+ years of large regional or big 4 public accounting experience or 3+ years in financial reporting/SEC reporting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and financial analysis.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Willingness to work additional hours during quarterly/annual reporting periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, annual reports).
• Compile and analyze financial information from multiple units for external reporting.
• Coordinate reporting timelines and monitor deliverables during close.
• Lead reporting activities and guide accounting team members during filings.
• Partner with external auditors by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
• Maintain lease accounting applications and related reporting processes.
• Deliver training on accounting policies and disclosure requirements.
• Support SOX compliance with documentation, testing, and internal controls.
• Research technical accounting issues and prepare GAAP/SEC position papers.
• Assist in adopting new accounting standards and update internal policies.
• Support financial systems upgrades, automation, and process improvements.
• Perform financial analysis and complete special projects as assigned.
