Job summary

Rover is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join our Seattle-based accounting team. This role owns month-end close, financial reporting, and audit management to ensure GAAP-compliant, audit-ready statements.

The position is hybrid, with two days in our Downtown Seattle Office; relocation is encouraged. You’ll collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and cross-functional teams to scale processes and implement new standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• BS/BA in Accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred or actively in progress.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environment preferred.
• Experience with financial statement prep, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close deliverables for GL areas.
• Prepare and review financial statements and schedules per US GAAP.
• Audit management and internal control documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on accounting matters.
• Mentor peers and scale accounting processes.
