Job summary

BenchPrep is seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant to support its growing finance team. You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, analyze data, and ensure GAAP compliance across the organization. The role covers reconciliations, journal entries, AR/AP, revenue recognition review, budgeting assistance, and year-end schedules.

NetSuite, Intacct or QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred. This remote position offers a competitive base salary of $65,000-$85,000, annual bonus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years in accounting or auditing for Staff Accountant, or 5-8 years for Senior Accountant.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and revenue recognition experience.
• Experience communicating financial information across the organization.
• Proactive, detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting function: reconciliations, journal entries, AR, AP, and Billing.
• Analyze expenditures and allocate expenses to departments; report as needed.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and proper revenue recognition.
• Prepare balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow components; budget variance analysis.
• Assist in budgeting and year-end tax schedules; look for process improvements.
