Job summary

AccruePartners is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Field Accounting team at our Fort Mill HQ. You will partner with field and branch leaders to translate requests into accurate journal entries and assess if they belong in the books.

You’ll report to the Accounting Manager and collaborate with a Senior Accountant and leadership rotation participants. This role offers visibility and growth within a large organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years progressive accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience supporting multi-site/branch operations and ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with field and branch leaders to turn requests into journal entries.
• Judge whether each request is appropriate for booking.
• Explain accounting concepts in plain language to non-accountants.
• Push back with confidence when the field's request isn't appropriate.
• Own your portion of month-end close with accurate, timely entries.
• Help keep field operations and corporate reporting aligned.
• Spot recurring issues and suggest process improvements.

LOCATION

• Fort Mill, SC (south Charlotte metro)


• Hybrid: 3 days onsite and 2 remote, with an extra day onsite during close week

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance


• Strong GL, journal entry, accrual and month-end close skills


• Excellent communication skills, comfortable talking up and down the organization


• Experience supporting a multi-site, branch or field-based business (food service, distribution, retail, rental or similar) is a big plus


• Experience in a large ERP environment


• CPA or CPA track a plus
