Job summary

AccruePartners is seeking a Senior Accountant GL in Charlotte, NC to own core general ledger activities and lead month-end close for multiple entities. You will prepare consolidated statements, journal entries, and reconciliations while coordinating with AP, tax, and audit teams.

This role offers exposure to US GAAP and IFRS, with opportunities to improve processes and support international finance projects within a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience working within an ERP environment, ideally supporting a manufacturing organization.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transactions, and financial statement preparation.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, with exposure to or experience supporting IFRS reporting highly valuable.
• Ability to analyze financial information, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly to management and business partners.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across accounting, operations, global finance, and external audit teams.
• CPA is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own key components of the month-end close process and prepare financial statements across company entities.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements for management review and external audit support.
• Prepare journal entries and perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate accounting for accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany transactions.
• Partner closely with Accounts Payable to ensure expenses are properly recorded across general ledger accounts and cost centers.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and support the continued development of the chart of accounts.
• Research accounting matters and support the implementation of applicable financial reporting standards.
• Analyze budgets, expenses, revenues, and cost of goods while identifying and correcting financial discrepancies.
• Support audit and tax reporting requirements while ensuring reporting complies with both IFRS and US GAAP.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and overall financial reporting accuracy.
