Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support federal government contracting activities, including general ledger, invoicing, VAT and month-end close.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across domestic and international operations. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of related experience, strong FAR/GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Deltek Costpoint, NetSuite, and QuickBooks Time.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of applicable experience in government contracting accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and FAR/DFAR, SBA, GSA, and Service Contract Act.
• Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint, NetSuite and QuickBooks Time.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports and projections.
• Experience with international contract invoicing and VAT considerations.
• Support for audits, budgets, and indirect rate projections.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR and payroll.
• Manage international contract invoices and VAT calculations.
• Review VAT filings for accuracy and alignment with data.
• Prepare monthly financial performance reports and 13-week cash forecast.
• Coordinate month-end close and review international journal entries.
• Support Controller with budgets and indirect rate projections.
• Assist with annual audits and auditor inquiries.
• Prepare financial projections for revenue and costs, including unallowable costs.
• Participate in quarterly forecasting and monthly financial updates.
• Analyze statements and provide operational insights to management.
