SoftWriters, a Pittsburgh-based technology company serving long-term care pharmacies, seeks a Senior Accountant to lead accounting operations and modernize finance systems. You will own month-end close, AR/AP, and internal controls while driving automation initiatives and system upgrades.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT, FP&A, and external auditors, with a hybrid work setup in Pittsburgh. A strong background in ERP and process improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/billing system implementation and testing.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Ability to modernize and automate accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERP implementation, testing, and system modernization for accounting operations.
• Drive process automation and documentation of new workflows and SOPs.
• Own month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections activities.
• Manage accounts payable and vendor management processes.
• Prepare financial reports and support audits with detailed documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and cross-train team members.
