Job summary

Loop is seeking a Senior Accountant to scale our financial operations during a pivotal growth phase. You will own significant portions of monthly and quarterly close, drive ERP optimization, and partner with the Controller to establish best practices across a consolidated company.

Your work will directly impact financial decision-making and accuracy as we grow. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, New York, or Chicago, with the expectation of being in the office 4+ days per week.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years accounting experience in tech, SaaS or startups.
• Hands-on with Sage Intacct or NetSuite.
• Experience with monthly/quarterly close processes.
• Strong GL, subledger, and reconciliation expertise.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with variance commentary and management reporting.
• Detail-oriented with audit readiness mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage portions of the monthly close, including variance analysis.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Lead general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and accruals.
• Generate analyses, reports, and presentations for executives and the board.
• Support forecasting and budgeting cycles with historical analysis and modeling.
• Develop and maintain GL structure and subledger integrations.
• Document and improve processes to reduce close cycle time and increase accuracy.
• Assist with ASC606/ASC842 documentation and external audits.
• Execute transactional accounting and intercompany eliminations.
