Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant (Cost Accounting) to lead manufacturing cost accounting, standard cost updates, and variance analysis in a growing Colorado manufacturing company.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Finance; support month-end close and ERP implementation; strong Excel and ERP skills required.

Salary: $90,000-$95,000 plus 5-10% annual bonus, with excellent benefits and long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong cost accounting and standard costing experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas).
• ERP experience; Microsoft D365 and Power BI experience are a plus.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a desire to continue learning and growing.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing cost accounting, including standard cost updates, cost rolls, and variance analysis.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances while monitoring inventory KPIs.
• Support month-end close through journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Calculate and manage customer rebate and pricing support programs.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to improve business performance.
• Support Microsoft D365 ERP implementation and reporting initiatives.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to continuous operational efficiencies.
