Greenfield Milling seeks a Senior Accountant - Cost to join the Corporate Accounting team in Logan, UT. You will perform advanced cost analyses, compare estimated vs actual costs, and prepare budget reports to drive cost efficiency and financial feasibility.

The role requires 4+ years in cost accounting, manufacturing experience, and proficiency with GAAP and ERP systems (Acumatica preferred). CPA/CMA is a plus; relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• CPA or CMA designation is preferred
• 4+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Gathers and compiles cost information and maintains database
• Establish total labor hours for each operation for routings
• Act as accounting liaison with the plants during month end physical inventories
• Ensure daily production postings are flowing through ERP system properly
• Create inventory and variance accounts
• Analyze cost standards and set up conversion factors
• Review actual costs to identify inaccuracies and report margins
• Perform month-end and year-end closings and reconciliations
• Assist in audits and cost optimization initiatives
• Communicate effectively with other departments to drive cost improvements

This position is based in Denver, CO or Logan, UT. This individual will perform advanced cost accounting analyses to compare estimated costs to actual costs and prepare a variety of related budget reports.
