Job summary

Ariva Homes in Laredo, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will manage month-end close, prepare financial statements, and ensure accurate reporting for management and audits.

You will collaborate with departments, perform reconciliations, support budgeting and forecasting, and help strengthen internal controls. A bachelor’s in accounting and 3+ years of experience are required; JD Edwards or ERP experience is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support audit and tax preparation processes as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
• Assist with internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
