Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Whitewater, WI on-site team. You will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and deliver monthly financial reporting.

You will lead audits, manage fixed assets, and support budgeting while collaborating with leadership to drive financial performance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting (construction industry preferred), strong Excel skills, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's or CPA highly regarded.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, construction industry preferred.
• Proficient in ledger operations, monthly reporting, fixed asset accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including ledger maintenance and cash management.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Prepare monthly financial reports detailing performance and forecasts.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, tracking and depreciation.
• Collaborate with management to set budgets and financial objectives.
• Liaise with external auditors and maintain internal controls.
• Ensure all processes align with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
