Job summary

Westland Construction is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our domestic accounting team. You will report to the Assistant Controller and oversee financial operations across domestic projects, ensuring GAAP compliance and contributing to strategic planning.

The role requires 4–5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, and proficiency in Viewpoint and Procore. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential for success in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; Master's preferred.
Minimum 4–5 years of accounting/finance experience; construction industry preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for domestic projects in compliance with GAAP.
Prepare budgets and forecasts for domestic operations with project managers.
Monitor cash flow and implement cost controls for domestic projects.
Develop and enforce internal controls and assist with audits with external auditors.
Coordinate tax filings for state and local taxes and respond to authorities.
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management.
Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and leadership for decisions.
Oversee financial systems and ERP implementation to streamline operations.
