Job Details
Responsibilities
  1. 1. Oversee and manage daily accounting operations including ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and cash management.
  2. 2. Conduct regular audits to ensure financial operations are accurate and in compliance with legal standards.
  3. 3. Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports, detailing company performance and forecast future financial trends.
  4. 4. Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking, recording, and depreciation of company assets.
  5. 5. Develop and implement effective financial strategies to enhance overall business performance.
  6. 6. Collaborate with the management team to set budgets, implement company policies, and establish financial objectives.
  7. 7. Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.
  8. 8. Ensure all accounting processes align with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Qualifications
  1. 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be highly regarded.
  2. 2. Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  3. 3. Proficient in ledger and audit operations, monthly reporting, and fixed asset accounting.
  4. 4. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  5. 5. Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
  6. 6. Excellent proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
  7. 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  8. 8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
