Responsibilities
- 1. Oversee and manage daily accounting operations including ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and cash management.
- 2. Conduct regular audits to ensure financial operations are accurate and in compliance with legal standards.
- 3. Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports, detailing company performance and forecast future financial trends.
- 4. Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking, recording, and depreciation of company assets.
- 5. Develop and implement effective financial strategies to enhance overall business performance.
- 6. Collaborate with the management team to set budgets, implement company policies, and establish financial objectives.
- 7. Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.
- 8. Ensure all accounting processes align with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Qualifications
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be highly regarded.
- 2. Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- 3. Proficient in ledger and audit operations, monthly reporting, and fixed asset accounting.
- 4. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- 5. Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
- 6. Excellent proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
- 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- 8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
