Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant in Boca Raton, FL to join the Finance & Accounting team. This non‑supervisory role focuses on month‑end close, financial reporting, reconciliations and broader accounting operations within a growing construction/restoration services company.

You will report to the Corporate Controller, work on fixed assets, ASC 842 lease accounting, audits and tax support, and collaborate with Operations and HR to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Acumatica.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end close journal entries.
• Post and reconcile cash receipts.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
• Review general and subsidiary ledger balances for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger and related financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statement packages and supporting schedules.
• Assist with annual audit and tax‑compliance requests.
• Support lease accounting activities in accordance with ASC 842.
• Prepare ad hoc financial and accounting analyses.
• Assist with special accounting projects and implementation of new accounting guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Partner with Operations, HR and other internal stakeholders on accounting‑related matters.
