Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant in Boca Raton to join the Finance & Accounting team and report to the Corporate Controller. This non-supervisory role emphasizes month‑end close, reconciliations, and broader accounting operations within a growing national contractor environment.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting/finance, progressive accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. Public accounting and construction ERP exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Progressive accounting/finance experience required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting skills.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Excellent Excel skills and ERP system experience.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end close journal entries.
• Post and reconcile cash receipts.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Review general and subsidiary ledger balances for GAAP compliance.
• Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger and reporting.
• Prepare financial statement packages and schedules.
• Assist with annual audits and tax-related requests.
• Support lease accounting per ASC 842.
• Produce ad hoc financial analyses.
• Assist with accounting projects and new guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR and other stakeholders.
