Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for a corporate office in San Francisco, CA. The role is 100% in-office with an early start at 7am.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in a senior accounting role within the construction/engineering sector and will handle GL, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and payables. Responsibilities include month-end close reporting, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and supporting projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance would be nice to have.
• Construction/Engineering industry experience is required.
• Strong General Ledger experience and excellent accounting fundamentals (GAAP).
• Team player but able to work independently.
• Attention to detail, proactive, analytical, and organized.
• Strong communications (written & verbal).
• Software experience with a large ERP system preferred.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel - Advanced, Word & Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting functions in the general ledger.
• Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable processes.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting during the month-end close.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial reports.
• Assist on projects as assigned.
