Job summary

Amer Sports is seeking a Senior Accountant, Consolidations & Reporting for its New York City office. The role focuses on the monthly global consolidation process, reporting, and analytics for internal and external stakeholders in a hybrid NYC environment.

You will work with Brand Controllers and the GBS team to drive balance sheet reviews and process improvements, utilizing OneStream and related technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end consolidation close process and global close calendar.
• Coordinate with brands and the GBS team through the close process and post journal entries.
• Consolidate each brand’s monthly results in OneStream; translate currency and reconcile intercompany.
• Serve as a contact point for the monthly consolidation; liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Lead quarterly and monthly balance sheet reviews with Brand Controllers and GBS.
• Monitor changes to COA, reporting hierarchies, consolidation mappings, and intercompany eliminations.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and use of new technology (OneStream, SAP S/4 HANA, Blackline).
• Ensure timely consolidation controls at corporate and entity levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive standardization and efficiencies.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects.
