Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing Services is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team in a role focused on financial reporting, internal controls, month-end close, and corporate accounting in a dynamic environment.

The position offers a 105k–125k base range plus bonus. Responsibilities include month-end close ownership, journal entries, reconciliations, and collaboration with Finance and Operations on initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Public accounting and/or government contracting experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and support month-end close activities.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Partner with Finance and Operations teams on accounting initiatives.
• Support audit activities and process improvements.
• Participate in systems and process enhancement projects.
