Job summary

Salon Service Group in Springfield, MO seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The role owns portions of monthly close, reconciliations, and internal controls, partnering with the Accounting Manager to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

You will guide staff, drive process improvements, and support audits, fixed assets, cash, and store accounting across multiple entities. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Accounting and 3–5 years of experience with leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with leadership.
• Experience with month-end close, GL, and internal controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own portions of the monthly close and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Own fixed asset reporting and depreciation analysis.
• Support audit readiness and tax-related activities.
• Lead Staff Accountant and Accounting Assistant to achieve goals.
