Job summary

Smart Source is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to own cash, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and the general ledger. The role partners with the Corporate Controller and supports ongoing operations, including ERP transition activities.

The successful candidate will lead month-end close, prepare reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial reporting while working across remote and satellite offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 4–7 years experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for assigned areas.
• Own monthly balance sheet and GL reconciliations; research variances.
• Lead portions of month-end and year-end close to deadlines.
• Prepare schedules, analyses, and documentation for management reporting and audits.
• Review bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support external financial statement audits and ERP transition activities.
