Job summary

Smart Source is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in Florida to support cash, billing, AR, AP, inventory, and the general ledger. The role emphasizes month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support, with involvement in an ERP transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and U.S. GAAP fundamentals.
• Experience with reconciliations and AR/AP, cash, billing, or inventory processes.
• Intermediate Excel skills and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support management reporting and external audit requests.
• Process cash receipts and banking activities and manage master data.
• Assist with ERP transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and testing.
