Addison Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role supports a diverse portfolio of small and mid-sized businesses, delivering accurate financial reporting and day-to-day accounting services across multiple client engagements.

You will own month-end close, prepare statements, analyze results, and collaborate with clients to improve processes while ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Progressive accounting experience including general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations and close processes.
• Public accounting or outsourced accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and applying principles to business situations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and multiple GL platforms; adaptable to new systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple client accounts including GL maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes and meet reporting deadlines.
• Analyze financial results and investigate discrepancies to ensure reliable reporting.
• Support cash flow projections, budgeting, and other financial analyses.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for assigned clients and provide responsive support.
