Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the accounting team in Foxborough, MA. The role involves posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close while collaborating with AP, AR, and Treasury.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a staff accountant or general accounting role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of the P&L and balance sheet
• Hands-on experience with journal entries and account reconciliations
• Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working in an ERP system
• Strong analytical mindset with sound judgment and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail with solid organizational and time management habits
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively depending on what the situation calls for
• Preferred Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP platform

Responsabilités

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules
• Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as they come up
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations
• Book transactions and prepare reconciliations across multiple currencies including USD, CAD, EUR, and GBP as needed
• Support AP and AR functions as needed, including collections activity
• Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation
• Maintain accounting records in compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Identify and contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy
• Support ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned
