Job summary

Fidelity, a leading financial services company, seeks a Senior Accountant for its Brokerage Corporate Accounting and Controllership Team. You will manage accounting and reporting for brokerage activities, perform month-end close, and support regulatory filings with internal and external partners.

The role emphasizes GAAP application, internal controls, and collaboration across finance to deliver accurate financial statements and insightful analyses. Occasional travel to Boston may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA and/or master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience; banking/brokerage/financial services accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to apply it to business events.
• Audit background or experience working with auditors and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations; present month-over-month income statement analysis.
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet certifications and regulatory filings and annual financial statements.
• Support interim/annual audits with external auditors and regulators.
• Enhance reporting packages and processes; develop improved reporting of business results.
