Fidelity TalentSource is recruiting for an Accountant to support one of Fidelity Investments' business unit accounting teams in Boston, MA and nearby locations. The role focuses on assisting with month-end close activities and maintaining accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, CPA or advanced degree preferred, and at least seven years of relevant experience in financial services or large corporates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA and/or master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in financial services or a large corporate environment.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for one or more business unit accounting teams.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses, and other close deliverables.
• Learn and own established accounting processes quickly.
• Ensure records are complete, accurate, and aligned with policies and controls.
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues in partnership with other teams.
• Coordinate with finance, operations, technology, treasury, tax, legal, and partners to support activities.
• Support internal and external audit requests and related reporting needs.
• Maintain and enhance process and control documentation for knowledge transfer.
