Fidelity Investments is seeking a Senior Accountant for the Brokerage Corporate Accounting and Controllership team. The role focuses on accounting and financial reporting for brokerage activities, collaborating with accounting and finance partners to streamline processes and enhance controls.

Expect journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end analyses, with exposure to regulatory filings and annual statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA and/or master's preferred.
• 2-4 years in accounting; banking/brokerage/financial services preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to apply to events and transactions.
• Audit background or experience with auditors and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close.
• Analyze income statements and present month-over-month results to management.
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet certifications and regulatory filings.
• Assist in annual financial statements and audits with external auditors/regulators.
• Develop and improve reporting and controls for brokerage accounting.
