Job summary

Fidelity TalentSource is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a temporary assignment in Boston, MA, with potential support for Smithfield, RI, and Covington, KY. You will partner with finance and operations to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes while maintaining strong internal controls.

The role requires deep accounting knowledge, a proven track record in month-end processes, and the adaptability to work across business units in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience in financial services or a large, complex corporate environment.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
• Ability to quickly learn new businesses, processes, and internal controls; work independently and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for one or more business unit accounting teams.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and other close deliverables.
• Learn and assume ownership of established accounting processes.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and aligned with policies and internal controls.
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues and exceptions with the appropriate teams.
• Coordinate with finance, operations, technology, treasury, tax, legal, and other partners to support activities.
• Support internal and external audit requests and related reporting needs.
• Maintain and enhance process, control, and procedure documentation for knowledge transfer and continuity.
