Joseph Hollander & Craft LLC in Wichita, KS is seeking a Senior Accountant & Billing Manager to lead our three billing coordinators and work with the accounting manager on AP, GL, and payroll.

The role oversees billing processes, vendor payments, month-end close, and FP&A budget prep. In-person in Wichita or Kansas City with eligibility for Telecommuting after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required or preferred.
• Experience managing billing, preferably in a legal setting.
• Experience with ERP software and financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a three-person billing team and coordinate with finance.
• Assist with accounts payable, vendor invoices, and expense requests.
• Support general ledger reconciliations and monthly close processes.
• Collaborate with the accounting manager on payroll and benefits.
• Assist FP&A with budget prep and variance analysis.

Position Overview

Joseph, Hollander & Craft is seeking a detail-oriented, leadership-focused Senior Accountant & Billing Manager to (1) oversee our team of three billing coordinators, functioning as the bridge between billing staff and finance, and (2) work closely with our accounting manager to manage accounts payable, general ledger, payroll and perform firm financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing team manager / accounts receivable

• Supervise team of three billing coordinators, building an atmosphere of collaboration with finance
• Direct monthly billing cycle processes, including managing system configurations

2. Accounts payable

• Assist accounting manager with processing and paying vendor invoices
• Manage expense requests by lawyers and staff

3. General ledger

• Assist accounting manager with monthly reconciliations
• Assist with monthly and annual close

4. Payroll

• Work with accounting manager to monitor and approve staff time
• Manage finance-side employee benefits

5. FP&A

• Assist with budget preparation
• Perform budget variance analysis
