Job summary

Sungrow North America is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the finance team in a hybrid Costa Mesa environment. The role focuses on financial accuracy, billing support, reconciliations, and contract compliance across project-based work.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP and ASC 606 knowledge, and proficiency with SAP and Excel. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential for accurate revenue recognition and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, energy, or contract/project-based accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Perform project reconciliations to validate billing accuracy and revenue reporting.
• Review contracts and purchase orders to identify performance obligations and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Review cash applications to ensure correct postings to customers and invoices.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, and Finance to monitor project financial performance.
• Support month-end close with correct invoicing, revenue, and GL entries.
